The history of the EuroComfort Group

The origins of today’s EuroComfort Group date back to the company Lück based in Bocholt, Germany. Lück was established in 1976 as a producer of upholstered cushions and was sold in 1995 to the Swedish Bonnier Group.

With Thomas Bußkamp as the managing director, Lück tapped into new markets, won over new target groups and made a lasting impression with new products together with perfectly coordinated innovative logistics solutions. The company grew quickly and new production sites were set up in Germany, Poland, Lithuania and, most recently, China.

This network of companies was brought together as the EuroComfort Group in 2000.

Badenia Bettcomfort was acquired in 2004 and integrated into the EuroComfort Group.

The “Irisette Quartet” was launched in 2006.

The companies Brinkhaus and Abeil have belonged to the EuroComfort Group since mid 2011.

At the end of August 2017, the Group bought the company Euroline, based in Lezno, Poland.

In 2018 the brand and model rights of the upholstered furniture brand Ewald Schillig were acquired.

The Bedcare brand was taken over in 2018.

2019 saw an expansion of logistics operations – construction of the logistics center at the location in Leszno, Poland, with an area of 35,000 m² and space for 80,000 pallets.

A second production location was opened in Chuzhou, China in 2019.
